Writing is hard

Like, really hard. In general, being creative can be hard. Now, I know a lot of you are not thinking of writing a book. Not because you can’t, but because you just don’t really want to. But if you do want to write a book, then you’re going to need beta readers. I am currently writing a book and I needed beta readers, too. And somehow, I found the Kreativ Space.

“The Kreativ Space offers editing and beta reading services for budding writers looking to polish and perfect their manuscripts. Founded by Rebecca Henderson with the concept of writing karma in mind, the website also features articles on writing, editing, and the relationship between author and editor. Now offering free quotes and an introductory, no-obligation, free 3K edit.” -The Kreativ Space

Luckily, she beta read for me before her website and business for free. And hands down, she was the best beta reader out there. Rebecca answered some questions for us, about writing and creativity in general.

Why is creativity important for young teens/adults?

Creativity lends youth the ability to escape reality and fashion a world in which they thrive. Anything can happen in a world you create! Teens can work through problems through creativity, express their emotions and feelings towards the world, and explore aspects of their own character, all in a safe space.

Why do you love to write/read?

Reading and writing have always been a part of my life. I moved around a lot as a kid, so books were always there and I could meet new people (characters) without feeling shy. I learned a lot about the world through reading and writing allows me to express my opinions and open up new worlds for others. After all, I believe the writing world operates on the basis of karma. We first become readers who find inspiration in authors. Then, we write to express ourselves and hopefully give meaning to new readers. The cycle continues and creativity flourishes.

Why is it important to write/read/be creative on a day to day basis?

Being creative daily allows us to interact with the world around us in a useful way. The best kinds of creativity lend participants a new perspective on events, ideas, people, or aspects of life. If we strive to be creative each day, we are more open to the possibilities of life.
